2017 Business Goals

table top with laptop, notebook, phone, and holding coffee. dream, goals.

As I am nearing the 1st anniversary at PaperGirl Company, I thought it would be a great idea to sit down, reflect, and come up with goals for the new year.

1. Define product lines.

When starting a handmade business, it is easy to get side tracked with all the products one can offer. To continue providing high quality pieces, we would like to narrow down our product categories and create a cohesive, recognizable brand.

2. Use eco-friendly packaging.

We want to continue moving forward as an eco-friendly business. That is why we are going to use product packaging that is made from 100% recycled content and/or 100% recyclable. We want to do our part to help the environment, which leads to...

3. Convert to a natural dye process.

Using natural dyes. We are learning about the dye process and plants that can be used. Not only does using natural dye reduce chemical usage, but they create a beautiful range of hues. Most of the ribbon we use is colored this way and we want to extend that to our paper.

4. Participate in more workshops.

We believe it is important to get out in the community and share our craft with others. We would love to participate in more workshops locally and will actively seek opportunities.

5. Support domestic small businesses.

Owning a business is hard work. We would like to support other small (handmade) businesses in the USA when purchasing materials.

As our business grows, we hope to continue fulfilling our mission and creating quality products that will be loved.

Thank you for your support as we continue this journey.
