A Charleston Wedding

 dyed book pages

For the past months, I have been working on floral arrangements for the wedding of a wonderful couple. We met through a mutual friend at a baby shower and by happy accident we got to talking about flowers made from book pages (which I just so happen to create).

It is funny that random events can lead to unexpected opportunity. I was happy to create pieces for their event. Making paper flowers is one of my favorite art forms.

The wedding took place this past weekend in Charleston, SC. It was a perfect day. Item delivery happened without incident and the weather was beautiful. I was thrilled to be a part of this special day. It is very rewarding to make people happy.

This wedding had a lot of arrangements, each made from specific books. Each member of the wedding party chose their favorite book. I loved this idea, as it made the arrangements extra special, but it meant more work for me. It was very important to stay organized throughout this project. I had to dye over 200 pages and try to keep colors consistent.

So, on with some pictures! And yes, I forgot to take nice images of the bouquets, oops.

Well, there you have it. This was a large project for me and I enjoyed it very much. I'm really happy with the end results and it looked great at the venues. Plus, the mini vacation with my husband was a bonus!
